This is a patch of a patch ... no the patch itself. The idea is to: ln -s debian/patches quilt push -a quilt new 45_debian_backup_fix_dialup.patch quilt add path/to/the/file/you/want/to/change.c editor path/to/the/file/you/want/to/change.c quilt refresh --diffstat -U8 --no-timestamps and then send the new 45_debian_backup_fix_dialup.patch anyway ... will do this now.
