I have found that there is a button to leave full screen mode only when I enable the navigation toolbar, which is then displayed in full screen mode. So "Firefox doesn't provide you with any kind of visual toolbar to click on in full screen mode in ubuntu" is wrong.
I have moved what I needed from the navigation toolbar to the menu bar and turned off the navigation toolbar to save space. I do not think this is an unreasonable thing to expect a user to do. Again, I know the F11 keyboard shortcut, but I don't have any keys that map to F11. My actual F11 key is mapped to middle click, this is the Ubuntu default for my hardware. Also, any user who wasn't aware of the shortcut would not know how to escape full screen mode in this situation. Users of Firefox should able to get out of full screen mode when they use it with the navigation toolbar disabled, regardless of their memory of the keyboard shortcut. This is a serious usability issue, and I think that makes it a worthwhile bug. -- Can't escape full screen mode https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/226561 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
