I have an Acer Aspire 6920G and I am experiencing the same issue with Ubuntu Hardy Heron amd64.
I tried the suggestion posted earlier, http://mailman.alsa- project.org/pipermail/alsa-devel/2008-May/007653.html. This did not yield positive results: the audio is still silent. These are the steps I took: 1) sudo vi /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base 2) added new line "options snd-hda-intel model=acer-aspire" 3) sudo ./hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x15 SET_EAPD_BTLENABLE 2 4) restart Any further help and ideas are greatly appreciated! -- No sound on Acer Aspire 8920G with H.Heron 8.04 Beta x86_64 and Realtek ALC889 and Intel HDA 82801H https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/218165 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
