Same problem on a Toshiba P100, at least for STR (that also suffered from other problems, I solved in another bug report)... Problem that lasts since Dapper on this laptop (with alsa 1.0.14 recompiled, as dapper 1.0.10 was not supporting connexant codec). Unloading/reloading alsa at suspend does not help.
