Hi Susan, I'm afraid I haven't got a clue how to do those tests. I don't use terminal. I fired it up once, but it's not intuitive or menu driven, so out of bounds for me.
Thanks for your interest though. I'm sorry I don't have time to learn teminal and can't be more help. I'm going to re-install 7.10 so I get my sound back.
