I think this report is too old and probably when I was using Ubuntu 5.10. 
Actually I use Ubuntu 6.06 LTS and the problem stills, but it's not in relation 
to the splash screen, but to the visualization of pages during browsing in the 
net. Every time windows are mixed: the left part comes to the right and mixes 
labels and others, so it is almost impossible reading pages. I was thinking 
about the old video card, but as it uses 32 MBvram and is an AGP, this 
shouldn't be... I would try to recompile xorg, but last time I did it, 
everything freezed, so I have to ask to you: do you have any suggestion to this?
