Sorry that I did not get back to you but since then I have switched to Mepis 6 and I am now running Ubuntu edgy eft and have not had a problem since. I must say that I did figure out how to setup my modem (router) for dynamic DNS , and everything now works perfectly. I have been using edgy since it came out and love it. Thanks once again for all of your help with this problem.
