Again, I removed the nvidia drivers and manually updated xorg.conf to use the Xorg "nv" driver. That worked for me. It even correctly interpretated the modeline I entered. I will try the nvida 96.43.05 driver later. A @Avery poited out this driver doens't work with older cards (e.g. my GeForce4 MX 4000). Joep
