Hello made a full rollback to dapper drake 6.06-1 on the machine. The 8139 works at a glance, fullspeed with fast pings and transfers. There seems to be changes in the kernel that produce the bug. The chipset ist Intel i915 (ICH4), the NIC is a RTL-8139C. Found some mailings in the web with kernel issues between i845 and rt8139 when running in dma mode. At the moment both drivers are loaded and the NIC is running well.
