I have the same problem under Hardy 8.04 Zend studio was not starting at all. its say in the terninal that commad.run() (or something like that) cannot run ... (same thing for me)
To resolve it, I installed java 6 runtime and - Renamed the ~/graben/Zend/ZendStudio-5.5.0/jre folder to _jre - Made a symlink to the folder where my new java6 JRE folder was installed i.e. /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.06/jre The program now starts & I see everything well. The problem now is that whenever I resize a panel, open a file or a menu, the screen refresh do not work well. See attached PNG for example. Also, if I minimize the program & maximize it again all the window is gray like before I did that fix. This did not fix the problem entirely but it helped a bit (i can actually start the program now !). I really need that program to work so can anyone tell me a workaround that works for this.
