Thanks for your prompt reaction. This is a clean install of Hardy. Gnumeric version 1.8.2-1ubuntu1. Following packages are installed: gnumeric, gnumeric-common, gnumeric-doc, gnumeric-plugins-extra. I reinstalled these packages and now not even the window "about application" is displayed. I would like to try restarting (still remember windows "solutions") but I cannot at this time. The only "special" operation I can recollect is pasting about 3 columns of 2000 values each from OO.o. Then I wanted to plot them but with the result I presented.
