Kfind is not installed in Ubuntu by default (though it may be in Kubuntu). To
add Kfind to Ubuntu, got to System > Administration > Synaptic package manager
(enter administrative password) > Search: kfind
Check mark it, select Apply and wait for the process to finish.
You can add a quick shortcut to Kfind by Right-clicking on an empty spot
on the top GNOME panel, Add to panel > Custom application launcher >
Name: kfind, Command: kfind, click OK. You now have a Kfind icon on the
panel. The icon is even nice-looking (in the default Human desktop theme
at least): a computer with a magnifying glass, as proper for finding
tools.
