*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 32906 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/32906
I encountered the same problem with a 32-bit system. I found that in the hosts file the 127.0.0.1 entry had been changed to 127.0.1.1. Also found that changing an entry on freedesktop fixed everything and updates completed normally: -- goto System -> Authorizations --> freedesktop --> systemtoolsbackends --> manage system configuration and granted my logon -- Network update to RC has caused multiple issues with sudo and kdesu (Kubuntu 7.10 x64 -> Kubuntu 8.04 RC x64). https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220843 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
