This only happens on one of two machines. An x64 that was upgraded from 7.10 works just fine. The one that has the problem is a fresh install of i386 version. The only additions have been add block and noscript plugins for mozilla, and gstreamer.
This happens on local files. Further investigation: the first time the "save icon" is clicked a message appears at the bottom of the editor saying the file is being saved. Leaving the mouse pointer positioned on icon, doing some editing, and clicking again results in no activity - no line a the bottom of the screen to indicate the file is being saved and in fact changes are not saved. Move the mouse pointer off of the "save icon" and when it is returned the icon is reactivated - it has a border line that lights up and when it is clicked the message at the bottom of the screen saying the file is being saved appears. When the save does work the icon changes colour briefly when clicked then reverts to its initial appearance. There is no change in appearance when it doesn't work. -- gedit save icon on tool bar only works once. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228500 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
