Thanks for your bug report. I just wanted to annotate that in the Wine version 0.9.61 (but from winehq, not a package in the Ubuntu repositories) some of those errors are fixed. But I had the same output with the Ubuntu wine package, so I can confirm this.
With the new version the output is as follows: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dpkg-query -W wine wine 0.9.61~winehq0~ubuntu~8.04-1 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ winecfg preloader: Warning: failed to reserve range 00000000-00010000 preloader: Warning: failed to reserve range 00000000-00010000 preloader: Warning: failed to reserve range 00000000-00010000 preloader: Warning: failed to reserve range 00000000-00010000 preloader: Warning: failed to reserve range 00000000-00010000 preloader: Warning: failed to reserve range 00000000-00010000 ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Confirmed -- some errors executing winecfg https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228694 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
