Played with the some more... a lot of interesting problems lurking in different places.
First off, I tried setting my KDE font sizes all to 8. One of them, when using the gtk2-engines-qtcurve solution, DOES fix the font sizes in GTK apps. What it does not appear to do is fix the size of text boxes that use those fonts. If the font size is 8, the entry box (like Firefox location and search bars) will just have white space around the text like a cushion to keep the bar the same size. This is not the case using the "Use KDE theme" selections. Also, when using QtCurve, the KDE colors do not come through. Pidgin normally has striping that alternates for every user name in the list. With QtCurve, the background appears to be all white. Lastly, the dialog to configure GTK options is confusing. I'm speaking about in kde-system-settings. If you end up configuring one of the options that apparently matches KDE, it will let you apply those settings, but the radio button will revert to the KDE setting when you come back in (eg. if you pick other theme or other font size, but the theme is Qt or the font size matches your KDE font). It took me a bit to figure out why that was, and I'm not sure if that's the right behavior (though that's certainly outside the scope of this bug). -- checkbox and radiobox rendering issue https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/194624 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
