Public bug reported: My system sometimes freezes under heavy load.
Symptoms are: - The cursor can still be moved. - The system is completely unresponsive otherwise. - The screen is not updated (except for cursor movement). - Pressing Control-Alt-Backspace does not work. - Pressing Control-Alt-F1 does not work. - Pressing Control-Alt-Delete does not work. - Magic-SysRq still works. - Alt-SysRq-E causes the screen to be messed up. Possible causes that come to mind: - High CPU load. - High memory load. - Overheating. - Hardware problems (unlikely, worked flawlessly under gutsy). Attachments to follow. Please let me know what further information I can provide to help fix this bug.
