Daniel, I'm not sure what you mean by "other distributions" - Ubuntu 8.04 is the only version of Ubuntu that should be affected by this issue since it's the only version which includes a Linux kernel 2.6.23 or later, and the Ubuntu developers aren't responsible for fixes to other Linux distributions?
