Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pidgin

Somtimes pidgin has suddenly a complete freez. The pidgin window will went dark
and it doesn't work anymore.
After killing the process and restarting pidgin, only a gray window will
appear.
Instead of the pidgin icon, there will be a double sized free space in the
notification area.

When I start pidgin with --debug, this are the latest entry's:

[....]
(14:07:43) oscar: Adding handler for 0001/000a

and then it does nothing until I press ctrl-C. 192.168.1.254 is my
internet-gateway.

I'm using latest ubuntu hardy with all updates, that mean pidgin in version
2.4.1-1ubuntu2.
After I restart the computer, it's working again.
