I have the same problem with the driver installed by the driver manager. However, a manual install of the same driver version (169.12) from nVidia's website is not having the same problem.
I'm not sure what is different about the drivers from the restricted- modules package and the drivers from the website yet as I was unable to download the source package to perform a local build.
