OK, I managed to reproduce what went wrong here. Just start Okular and then File -> Open -> Network -> Samba-Shares -> Crash
It happens with me all the times. I got a few samba shares on a Debian Etch but not all of them are mounted. If I try to access one the described way it goes boom.
