Binary package hint: munge
Using munge 0.5.8-5 on Hardy Heron. The /etc/init.d/munge script doesn't
create the /var/run/munge folder, so the pid file can't be written and
the daemon never starts:
* Starting MUNGE munged [fail]
munged: Error: Cannot check pidfile dir "/var/run/munge": cannot canonicalize
"/var/run/munge": No such file or directory
The attached patch adds a check for a missing /var/run/munge folder and
creates it if necessary.
