It's not a bug related with acpi, but it seems to be related with xorg 7.3 auto-configuration feauture. I solved all my problems (and now my system suspend perfectly) restoring my gutsy xorg.conf file. You can find my working xorg.conf in attachment, while this is the NOT WORKING configuration i get "out of the box" with a fresh install of Hardy.
