I also have the tsc clocksource error. It appears in multi-core processors, when one core changes state before the other and their clocksources get out of sync. HPET is a much better time source. You can add the clocksource=hpet parameter to your kernel command, but the error will still come up. However, it is (probably) not the source of your problem.
