Re: jruby0.9 vs. jruby1.0 – this is what Debian ships. The distinction
is most probably because JRuby 1.0 was not 100% compatible with 0.9.

As for packaging JRuby 1.1.1 as either new version of jruby1.0 or as
jruby1.1 – contacting the Debian maintainer (Sebastien Delafond
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>) and asking for their plans would be most sensible, but
otherwise both approaches are ok IMHO (JRuby 1.1 should be backward-
compatible with 1.0, not sure it’s worth having a separate package for
it – on the other hand, having a jruby1.0 package that is in fact JRuby
1.1 might be a bit misleading for some).
