When the ammount of received data reaches 1Gb the icon of the network monitor applet stops flashing at the panel and the count of received and transmited data stops counting. The downloads continues without problems. The gnome-system-monitor (resources) shows the true amount of received data (more than 1Gb). To get the icon of the applet flashing again and the count increasing I need remove and put it back on the panel.
