I'm new to Ubuntu, but a long-time vim user. When I tried running
vimdiff in the install CD, and found it wasn't available, I was
disheartened, but I though, "I can understand that - a regrettable
choice, but sometimes those need to be made for limited environments."
After I chrooted to the new install, and ran vimdiff, and found it
wasn't available, I was... distressed.

After I've spent some time looking into how to correct this issue, the
only encouraging aspect I find is that others have noticed and
complained already.

I'm running Ubuntu server, and I cannot find any other vim package to
install - and that's ridiculous.
