I have an HP dv4000 notebook (about 3 years old now) and also had to add the '/etc/modprobe.d/ipw2200' file to make the LED work. This is after I just did a clean install of Hardy, so what do we need to do to get this turned on by default, and are there any reasons why it shouldn't be done?
