1) Right-click on desktop and chose: Create document-> New Document -> Empty File. 2) Open the new file with gedit and type some text. 3) Select the text with the mouse cursor and left-click after the text. 4) Then press the middle-mouse button to paste the text.
Nothing happens when I complete step 4).
