** Summary changed:

- gdmsetup crashes in Romanian localization
+ Gnome applications crash in Romanian localization

** Description changed:

- Binary package hint: gdm
+ Binary package hint: language-pack-ro

- System: Ubuntu 7.10 x64 updated, Romanian localization.
+ System: Ubuntu 7.10 x64; Ubuntu Hardy x64.
Steps: Sistem -> Administrare -> Fereastră de autentificare (System
->Administration -> Login screen)
  or # sudo gdmsetup.

gdmsetup show's up and disappears instantly.
The console displays an error message: "Segmentation fault (core dumped)".
The system log shows the following message:
  Dec 17 16:38:40 B306-4 kernel: [ 4858.867964] gdmsetup[6560]: segfault at
0000000000000001 rip 00002b2f4de07b30 rsp 00007fff60f47858 error 4

I reproduced the same steps on the same system, after switching to
English and Russian locales, and there were no errors at all, so I
suppose this is a bug in translation. A very annoying bug, since it
- discourages me to use my native language in Linux. Any ideas?
+ discourages me to use my native language in Linux.
