Additional info

- /etc/fstab (after upgrade, don't know if it was changed):

- system was upgraded from  7.10 to 8.04
- windowspartition was reacheable (mounted) before the upgrade
- after the upgrade is was hidden, and not mounted as to be seen in fstab here


So it seems somewhere in the upgrade process the partition was marked hidden, 
and therefore not mounted anymore.
