I have the same problem in Hardy (Release version). It seem the input-
joystick driver doesn't work at all. It used to work fine in Feisty. I
tested with multiple joysticks and with all joysticks the X server
restarts as soon as I move an axis, pressing buttons works allright
though and produces the desired effect (e.g. emulate keystroke).
Xorg.log.0 (included) says the following about it: (EE) Joystick: ioctl
EVIOCGVERSION on '/dev/input/js1' failed: Invalid argument. Please
someone fix this, I use it very often :) Thanks!

Included: Xorg.conf, Xorg.log.0(next post)
