When I enable any of the desktop effects levels in System > Appearance >
Visual Effects tab the effects work fine, but there will be little
randomly appearing/disappearing horizontal black lines in the video.
A screenshot of this is attached.
I use the ATI fglrx proprietary driver on an X1200 ATI (Gigabyte mobo).
Distro version is 8.04 - Hardy Heron, using Gnome as DE.
This issue did not occur with the 7.10 version.
