Same problem for me. Same result with "sudo modprobe ice1712" SO am I out of luck?
"It looks the module isn't enabled in Hardy" !!!! Does this mean there is a fix. does the kernel need to be recompiled to fix this? I have this card because I work on audio and video. I need this sound card.
