The same problem happens to me. My laptop is HP dv9000. I used to rely on ndiswrapper with DELL Windows driver to make it work in Ubuntu 7.10 After having upgraded to 8.04, I cannot find any entry "wlan0" when using ifconfig or iwconfig.
