Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-generic

Booting with the latest kernel in Edgy (also the Beta Live CD) causes
Kernel panic on my Packard Bell laptop.

I have to say, I struggled getting Dapper working properly (even though
it did work out of the box) due to a very crappy BIOS, but kernel panic
is no good.

The version crashing is: 2.6.17.10-generic
The version working is: 2.6.15.27-686

I'm not sure how to give appropriate feedback here, please guide me.
