I got lirc working when tried Found workaround: Remove lirc kernel modules: `sudo dkms remove -m lirc -v 0.8.3~pre1 --all` Rebuild lirc kernel modules: `sudo dpkg-reconfigure lirc-modules-source`
and installed lirc_mod_mce_0.2.0 again. Now writing mce keyboard. Now just need to try to repair mythtv again. It won't run start anymore, but it's a different story.
