Public bug reported:

Hi

I just reinstalled Kubuntu Hardy (been using it before since Alpha 3)
and I also replaced one of my IDE drives.

So, after the fresh install the disk I booted from was assigned
/dev/sdc. That stayed for a little while and suddenly this evening it
changed to /dev/sda. That gave me quite some headaches as I did encrypt
all my partitions and it gave some errors that the orginial /dev/sda
couldn't be found anymore (or rather is not a valid LUKS partition).

Anyway, I noticed now that upon boot it sometimes changes between
/dev/sdc and /dev/sda. The drive I boot from is a SATA drive and the one
it changes the designation is a IDE drive.

I attach a screen shot with it now where the drive is currently assigned
/dev/sdc.... tomorrow (or so) after 2-3 reboots I will then attach a
different screen shot where it will be /dev/sda
