Hi! I'm having the same issue. The freeze is quite random but I found out that it always happen after few minutes I'm playing a game called Glest. At first I thought it was a video card issue but I tried with the proprietary driver, without it, with compiz running, with compiz without running and it still freezes. In fact I was able to have induce a freeze just few minutes ago (04/30/08 at 10:59 AM). You may find something useful in my logs.
