Tom The VMware Server do support USB devices.
In Vmware Server 1.0.4.X (Ubuntu 7.04), I was able to access my webcam with the server (Windows XP SP2 vmware server). and now in version 1.0.5.X (Ubuntu 8.04) I can´t be able to access it.
