Yes you are correct... I don't get the GAL information but all my calendar objects and email and stuff work just fine. We are using SBS 2003 so our Exchange server is the same as our DC.
I do have a Windows Smart Phone (Motorola Q) and using the same information as plugged in to Evo, I get the GAL and Calendar on the phone as well.
