Compaq Pressario V6500 Ubunut 8.04 Hi. All worked fine in 7.10, but since I've upgraded, the 'mute' and 'voume up and down' slider does not affect the sound. It's a touch sensitive slider built into the top of the keyboard.
The output is fine becasure the sound applet works and I have to use that with the cursor to alter the sound. It's not a major problem, but a little annoying.
