I have the same problem as Erik. I can confirm both suspend and hibernate worked ok in 2.6.24-15 and has stopped working in 2.6.24-16 (since installing 8.04). The problem appears on the suspend/hibernate side rather than during resume. When doing suspend the system goes to complete shutdown; when doing hibernate it streams out a usb error message; hitting ctrl/z sends it to complete shutdown.
