I just updated to ubuntu 8.04 hardy. Went to load my eclipse, and I got this. I have tried sun-Java-6 and sun-Java-1.5 and gcj-java all with the same error.
This bug really sucks. Has anybody found a workaround to get eclipse running. # # An unexpected error has been detected by Java Runtime Environment: # # SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x00007f5b68dd18f1, pid=18327, tid=1079228752 # # Java VM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (1.6.0-b09 mixed mode linux-amd64) # Problematic frame: # C [libxcb.so.1+0x98f1] # # An error report file with more information is saved as: # /home/branflake2267/hs_err_pid18327.log # # If you would like to submit a bug report, please visit: # https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openjdk-6/ # The crash happened outside the Java Virtual Machine in native code. # See problematic frame for where to report the bug. ** Attachment added: "jvm trace, eclipse load error" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/13999309/hs_err_pid18327.log -- eclipse 3.3.2 crashes on project right-click on java-6-openjdk and java-6-sun, but not java-1.5.0-sun (Hardy regression - libxcb.so) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/217538 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
