I can also confirm this problem. On Gusty could see shares on Windows file server, after upgrade to hardy can no longer see any shares.
If I explicitly browse in nautilus (e.g. smb://servername/ ) I get to see all the shares on the server but smb:/// shows no machines. Permanent mounts in fstab also fail to work.
