Good news: in Gnome Bugzilla this bug was reassigned to GIO, and work on the patch has started. Hope an upgrade for Ubuntu will be packaged as soon as possible.
offtopic: please, do not think in the ways of paper bureaucracy. This is really bad way of thinking. I live in Russia, so I know what I'm talking about. Identical digital copies are not the documents (plural), they are the document (single).
