maybe, but what also worries me is that now the final release is out even if they do fix it they won't put it in till next release. I remember back on whatever the second release of Ubuntu was the nvidia module they shipped caused X to crash within 2 hours of running MAX and the bug for it had literally hundreds of complaints but Daniel Stone said they wouldn't ship a new non crashy version of the driver: "Unless they release a hotfix that fixes this issue, and only this issue, probably not; otherwise, new features and other changes are sure to introduce new bugs ..."
Yep, because everyone having X crash every few hours is stable. I dunno. We'll see, but I jumped on Hardy over a month ago now, and reported this bug almost a month ago while it was still alpha. And I have another bug with Ubuntu that's also not gotten fixed. I'm getting a little discouraged with the bug system here. :/ -- hda intel sound does not work after hibernate (hardy) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/207537 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
