I tryed some further things:

I have reinstalled Ubuntu 7.10 with 2.6.22-14 generic Kernel and the fan
worked. But then: after installing al the updates for Gutsy, the fan was
not working after reboot. Then i've installed then the Omnibook module
and was able to control the fan manually.

Then i've installed the upgrade to Hardy: No Fan. Impossible to compile
and install the omnibook module (wrong format).

/proc/acpi/fan and /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/*/trip_points are both empty.
LM Sensor applet displays temperature from acpi.

I have attached the output of uname, lspci and dmidecode
