Thanks, Michael for your report.  From looking at the release version of
s3switch, I guess this is ancient software that is not cared for too
well.  There is no Maintainer for it, for example.  Assigning to MOTU to
either apply or reject the patch.

Sebastian, can you get Debian to include the patch?
