This new TC1100 driver depends on the WMI mapper added in 2.6.25. The old out-of-tree driver doesn't work with 2.6.23 and above (it can be trivially fixed to compile, but for some reason it doesn't create the files in /proc/acpi/wmi, only the /proc/acpi/wmi directory).
It seems that unless someone fixes the old driver or makes a backport of 2.6.25 to Hardy, TC1100 will not work with Hardy.
